They are now looking for a passionate financial controller / in house accountant who is passionate about numbers and finance. Someone who can react and also be pro active as well as supervise a small finance team. The client is an innovator in technology and their products involve social media based wifi solutions. Cutting edge ideas and innovation. The software brings cutting edge analytics and reporting to a wide range of customers large and small within the retail, leisure & hospitality industries.

The Role:

* Diverse financial controller / accountants role within a small but rapidly growing business
* Working in a small finance team reporting to the COO
* Responsible for the sage system, year end accounts, payroll and monthly financial reporting
* Responsible for improvements in cost control
* Management of the invoicing system and credit control
* Financial reporting – reactive and pro active – Working closely with the Directors
* VAT returns and banking relationships
* Supervising and developing a small finance team
* Business improvements and creativity

The Person:

* Must have an accountancy related qualification and previous experience in a similar role in house within an SME
* Confidence to work directly with management and directors whilst also ability or experience to supervise a small team
* Personality is key – vibrant and enthusiastic, flexible and can do
* Hands on experience – ability to implement and innovate and think outside the box
* Analytical and logical problem solving skills, payroll and sage experience essential
* Good business understanding and commercial awareness
* Confident and a strong communicator, flexible and ability to think for themselves
* Ability to explain complex financial information in a clear way
* Honesty and discretion
* Strong team-working skills

The Package:

* Flexible on salary for the right team fit and person ( £42,000 – £44,400)
