Financial Controller

Financial Controller, Leicester. Salary circa £57,600 – £72,0000. Our client, a successful SME group of businesses, seeks a dynamic qualified/experienced accountant as Financial Controller. Candidates should ideally be qualified accountants (ACA, ACCA or CIMA or part qualified or qualified by experience), who possess sound practical experience as well as good technical skills. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be responsible for the financial reporting of the business including management accounts, statutory accounts, VAT returns, preparation of the Board Pack, cash flow forecasts, budgeting and liaison with the Bank and Auditors. In addition you will lead and motivate a small accounts team. This is an ideal role for an experienced qualified accountant who wishes to combine a mixture of hands-on work as well as people management and reporting at Board level. Candidates should possess leadership/people management skills, excellent communication skills and problem solving and decision making ability. In addition you should possess strong written and verbal communication skills, team-building ability, strong commercial awareness and excellent system and spreadsheet skills.
