Salary: £66,000 – £72,000 per year
Anderson Knight is working exclusively with a client based in the Glasgow area to recruit a Financial Controller. The Financial Controller is responsible for managing the day-to-day financials and acts as a link between finance and other functions across the group.
You will be responsible for results of all financials, accounting activities and the operations of the finance team. With around four direct reports, you will ensure the smooth running of the finance department by delegating work and ensuring tight deadlines are met.
The main responsibilities the Financial Controller position entails are:
* Management support and development of the finance team
* Manage the month end close process ensuring monthly management accounts and group reporting submissions are completed on time
* Managing the preparation of statutory annual accounts and corporation tax returns
* Supporting the business in forecasting and budgeting activities when required
* Review internal systems and processes in order to suggest and drive efficiencies
* Partner with business unit heads to communicate critical financial information
In order to be considered for the role you must possess the following:
* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA)
* Strong communication skills
* A proactive approach to work
* The ability to solve complex problems
* An outgoing personality
* A driven/motivated individual
