A busy Engineering company based in Wednesbury, are currently looking for a capable and self-motivated Goods-In / Stores Controller.

The successful Goods-In / Stores Controller will ideally have the following experience & skills:

• Previous stores or stock controller experience in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of a computerised warehouse management or stock control system is required
• Have good general computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office package – Word, Excel Outlook etc.
• A valid or recently expired Counterbalance Forklift Truck (FLT) Licence (with operating experience) is required (refresher course can be offered)
• A confident and professional telephone manner
• Be able to build and maintain excellent working relationships with colleagues, suppliers and customers

Duties will include:

• Controlling the incoming and outgoing deliveries of materials, consumables and products including fixings, tools and related equipment
• Overseeing the integration of a simple computerised stock control system
• Safely moving materials and stock throughout the shop floor and warehouse environments, using a Forklift Truck, pallet trucks and manually when required
• Maintaining company Health & Safety policies within the stores department, ensuring adherence personally and from other staff members
• Liaising with team leaders of other departments to ensure stock levels are sufficient and correct at all times
• Taking regular inventory of materials and stock to ensure customer orders can be fulfilled effectively and on time
• Communicating with suppliers and customers as and when required
