Salary: £60,000 per year
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a FINANCE MANAGER to join a well established and prosperous processor and distributor of a steel & aluminium to a wide range of UK markets including engineering, manufacturing & construction. Based in Canterbury, this is a UK subsidiary of a multimillion dollar worldwide group. A starting salary in the region of £60,000is offered together with ample opportunity for personal and career development.
As the FINANCE MANAGER you will be primarily responsible for:
* Working closely with the Managing Director
* Managing a small finance team
* Group financial reporting
* Producing management accounts
* P&L reporting
* Producing cash flow projections & budgets
* Acting as company secretary covering all statutory obligation
* Managing the audit process
* Banking & funding including forecasting and financing
* Analysing expenditure to identify possible savings
* Managing sales & purchase ledger processes
* Assist in business forward planning and market strategy
* Developing and implementing financial and tax strategies
The successful FINANCE MANAGER will have the following skills and experience:
* Minimum 5 years’ experience of in a senior management accounts orientated position
* Experience gained in a manufacturing, engineering, warehousing or similar industrial business
* Undertaking the statutory duties of a company secretary
* Managing an accounts team to undertake all aspects of the financial management of a significant business
* Highly computer literate – SAP or similar package
* Proactive problem solving & decision making
* CIMA qualified or similar
