Finance Business Partner

Salary: £22.8 – £27.31 per hour

NXTGEN have an immediate opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join a high performing team on an initial 6 month contract. For this business, it’s people are at the core of everything they do so the successful candidate will certainly feel like a valued member of the team from the outset. As Finance Business Partner, you will work closely with the Finance Manager to deliver month end management accounts for specific business units, working with senior leadership to provide insight on performance vs plan. You will play a key role in the delivery of all budgets and forecasting responsibilities to ensure teams within the organisation are achieving their financial objectives. You will be joining the team at a busy period and it’s expected that this role may also support with ad hoc projects.

Key responsibilities for the role will include:

Delivery of the month end Management Accounts for multiple business units, reporting on year on year variances
Budget control for business units, working with senior stakeholders to provide insight on performance vs plan
Identify opportunities to improve financial performance, highlighting these to the Finance Manager
Support with medium and longer term financial planning
Review and maintain the integrity of the general ledgers for each business unit

The successful candidate will ideally be a finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) and will be available to interview and commence work at short notice. You will have a background within management accounts and will be confident reviewing large volumes of data within Excel. Experience using financial models would be desirable but not essential. Candidates will need to be confident communicating with senior management as well as presenting current financial performance vs actuals.
