Premier Technical Recruitment

Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year

Our client has been established for more than 30 years and specialise in the manufacture of high precision special purpose machinery for a range of applications and engineering sectors, and as a result of continued success and a planned program of strategic growth, are now seeking to recruit an experienced, dynamic and highly self motivated European Territory Manager to complement their established and successful team.

Tasked with the proactive identification and creation of new business associated with Machine Tool sales, re-fits and upgrades and new R&D projects, the successful candidate will create proposals in line with customer requirements utilising engineering support and both prepare and deliver presentations to customers at multiple levels, providing clear technical guidance to customers on finishing options available.

Targeting potential territories in Northern England, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech republic, Slovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece and Italy, you will create a full sales plan for designated territories that will include planned travel, sales forecasts, details of required marketing and budgets as well as target customers and applications, before going on to form new relationships and engage agents / lead finders as required, and supporting the sales and marketing team in the creation of associated required marketing material.

Supported by a committed team of in house engineering professionals, you will liaise closely with the R&D Department to establish process requirements, project timings and accurate costing, as well as working with the Service team, identifying service opportunities within existing customer relationships as well as proactively driving service support solutions with the service coordinator. You will also work closely with the design staff, providing input into machine specifications and design and ensuring that all required technical documentation is supplied to customers throughout purchase cycle and liaising with the project manager on all aspects of build timing and customer sign off, so excellent communication and IT skills at all levels are essential for success in this post.

To be considered for this varied and challenging opportunity, you will demonstrate an engineering background and relevant technical qualifications alongwith previous success in the sale of capital products, ideally gained within the automotive environment. You will be flexible to travel to clients within the identified territories (an additional language would be advantageous) and will be confident in presenting to audiences at all levels of the purchasing chain. Able to work and be self motivated under minimal supervision and with an appreciation of machine build timescales and costs.
