Estimator

I am currently recruiting for an Estimator with Civils experience to join my busy main contractor client based in Berkshire.

Reporting to the Civils Commercial Manager, you will coordinate the enquiry and tendering processes for civils projects ranging from £0.5m to £10 million. Reporting to the Civils Commercial Manager, the Estimator will manage all budget and tender enquiries and will prepare estimates.

The successful Estimator will be able to demonstrate previous experience in a similar role, preferably in the civil engineering sector of the construction industry. The Estimator will have sufficient technical skills and will be confident working with a minimum of supervision. The role demands a structured and well organised style, good interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well under pressure.

Key Skills & Experience;
*Minimum relevant level 4 qualification (HNC / NVQ4 etc) or equivalent
*Good standard of mathematical ability
*Proven experience of controlling costs, timing and quality in line with targets
*Accurate pricing from first principles of identified packages.
*Understanding of various construction methods.
*Using Microsoft suite of Office programmes; inc. Excel, Word, Outlook
*Using planning packages such as CS project
*Using Conquest Estimating system or similar
*Ability to prioritise and plan to deliver agreed objectives
*Appropriate CSCS card preferable
*MICE preferable but not essential
