Estimator

We are currently assisting the civil engineering arm of an international construction group in their recruitment for an Estimator to be based from their offices in Greater Manchester.

Reporting to the Senior Estimator and responsible for a Junior Estimator your main role will be to assist with tender preparation through liaison with the commercial, planning and engineering teams. As well as internal liaison you can expect to deal with external parties including client and sub contract organisations.

Ideally you will have gained a couple of years’ experience on site for a Civil Engineering contractor before making the decision to move into a role as an Estimator which you should have been doing for a minimum of 2 years. This will give you an understanding of how site teams operate as well as having gained a solid introduction to Estimating.

Should you be successful in your application you will working with an extremely experienced Senior Estimator who will be able to provide an excellent development programme.

To be considered for the role you should have at least 2 years’ Estimating experience and 2 years’ site experience. You should be degree qualified, IT literate, have knowledge of a variety of civil engineering applications, be honest and credible, and be proactive with a sincere desire to succeed as an Estimator.
