Salary: £16.8 – £19.2 per hour

Based at our Client’s global manufacturing facility for small construction products (Backhoe Loaders, Mini Hydraulic Excavators and Compact Wheel Loaders) the main function of the Quality Inspector role will be to react to daily quality issues found with parts and supplies in their manufacturing facility.

The role is being made as an initial 6 month contract; however it is hoped that it will be on a rolling basis.

The Quality Inspector role will be working within the manufacturing/ stores facility where they will be responsible for carrying out a range of basic mechanical engineering inspection techniques on in/outbound components, and working with a range of internal customers and suppliers to resolve any quality issues.

Effective and efficient communication skills are a major part of this role as the Quality Inspector will be expected to coordinate information between customers and suppliers in a professional manner and in a timely fashion.

In summary, the successful Quality Inspector will have a blend of the following:

* Experience of basic engineering inspection techniques, e.g. first off inspection procedures
* Able to solve problems
* Be able to read and interpret Engineering drawings
* Awareness of materials and metallurgy
* Good IT skills – MS Office
* Excellent customer service and liaison skills as coordinating information between customers and suppliers is essential
* Awareness of APQP/PPAP would be a distinct advantage
