Engineering Manager – Special Purpose Machinery
A well established aerospace engineering manufacturer, develop their own range of complex test equipment. To lead a team of design and development engineers to produce complex machinery solutions incorporating pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC controllers and electrical systems, in addition to securing CE marking compliance, an Engineering Manager is required.

Role
+ Manage a team of R&D engineers to produce innovative complex, special purpose machinery.
+ Provide technical leadership in designs that include hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, electrical, PLC controllers and electronic systems
+ Project manage all aspects of each machine including scheduling tasks, system specification and costs
+ Delegate actions, monitor activities and perform staff appraisals
+ Own the CE Marking and compliance process

Experience Required
+ Substantial experience in designing complex systems that incorporate sophisticated mechanisms, electronics, electrical controls and software such as special purpose machines and test beds
+ Technically competent on advanced CAD, CAE and modelling tools such as Unigraphics, ADAMS and ANSYS
+ Proven track record in design creativity and inventing combined with managing technical design staff

Qualifications Required
+ BSc, BEng or higher degree qualification in mechanical or an advanced engineering subject
+ Chartered IMechE ideally
