Job Description – Electrical Tester

Job Title: Electrical Tester

Reports to: Works Manager

Department: Engineering

Job Function: To test components as per specifications accurately, efficiently and safely

Key Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret work orders to determine testing instructions and materials needed
• Position, align, or adjust workpieces or electrical parts to facilitate testing and assembly
• Test and measure finished products, components, or assemblies for functioning, operation, accuracy, or assembly to verify adherence to functional specifications
• Under supervision, use sensitive, calibrated equipment while adhering to strict health and safety guidelines for working in areas of high voltage
• Compute/calculate sample data and test results
• Mark and tag components for acceptance or rejection, record test results and inspection data, and compare findings with specifications to ensure conformance to standards and so inventory can be tracked and identified
• Adjust, repair, or replace electrical components to correct defects and ensure conformance
• Confer with supervisors to plan or review work activities or to resolve production problems

Hours: 7am – 4pm Monday to Thursday and 7am – 12 noon Friday 39-hour week.

Salary: £26,000per year – £26,000 per year dependant on experience
