THE COMPANY: My client is a North East based manufacturer of highly engineered precision industrial components and products that are sold to end users around the world. They can be used in oil, gas and other process industries as well as a component in other manufacturers finished products. The company is part of a UK industrial conglomerate that has invested heavily in this country and has ambitious plans to grow the company substantially.
THE ROLE: Reporting to the Engineering Manager the role will include a combination of product development, design and testing activities. The Design Engineer will run and manage customer specific projects and will be a key player in new product innovation and development. The role will close liaison with the sales and engineering departments.
THE PERSON: Ideally Degree qualified you will have worked within a mechanical engineering manufacturing environment. Proficient on CAD you will have done a similar role with an a related environment. On top of these core skills proactive design engineers who take ownership and responsibility for their work will be valued and rewarded.
