Customer Service Representative (German Speaker)

Salary: £26,000 – £30,000 per year

Our client is a global player in the chemicals market and are looking for an organised, proactive and collaborative Customer Service Representative to join their team and help to manage essential day-to-day operations. This is a key role in the running of the company, and you will be given direct responsibility for a number of customers, so your ability to work under pressure and develop relationships will be crucial. With a strong presence throughout Europe, Asia and North America, this is an exciting opportunity to join an international chemical distributor. For this role you must be able to speak German as well as English. 

Main Responsibilities:

• Co-ordinate customer order fulfilment and deal with all customer enquiries and complaints

• Process and amend customer sales orders, keeping the customer informed at all times

• Raise and expedite purchase orders 

• Arrange deliveries, transportation and produce relevant shipping documentation

• Book stock into company system 

• Produce customer invoices 

• Check and confirm supplier invoices for goods and services on the company system

• Communicate and follow up any queries to the sales team

• Ensure that data on the company system is correct and up to date

Key Skills & Experience:

• Relevant Customer Service Representative experience gained from a similar position within a distribution organisation

• Fluent in written and spoken English and German

• Effective and confident communicator with problem solving skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail 

• Ability to multi-task, prioritise and manage time effectively

• Work under pressure to deadlines 

• Experience working with SAP/Exchequer/CRM or similar

• Competent Microsoft office skillset
