To this day they continue to enhance their reputation across the health, education, commercial, residential, ecclesiastical and commercial sectors providing new build, refurbishment, mechanical and electrical, joinery and specialist works to their customers throughout London and the Home Counties areas. They boast a strong order book for 2021 into 2022 mostly via repeat orders but also increased new enquiries.

Contracts Manager

An experienced Contracts Manager with new build and refurbishment experience is now sought to join their team based in London. You will manage projects allocated and ensure they are delivered safely, to programme and budget. You will ensure the projects are completed to the highest quality, to the customers satisfaction, cost and profitability.

Duties include:

* Preparation of construction programme and continuously review progress, making updates as required.

* Ensure quality, safety, programme, environmental and cost plans are implemented and used to control the project via regular progress monitoring/reporting against plans.

* Production of Plans such as; Site Waste Management, Environmental Management, Construction Environmental Weekly Checklist & Environmental Emergency Response Plans.

* Managing the subcontractors

* Auditing and monitoring sites in respect of health and safety and along with the Site Managers

* Produce monthly management reports on the contract status for the Director

* Monitoring site progress in the form of weekly internal site meeting

* Reporting to the customer on site progress in the form of contract site meeting

* Monitoring plant usage on site

* Overall responsibility for construction, through to the completion of the building, to the agreed programme

* Formulating and agreeing main contract programmes

* Control contractual correspondence and distribution of information

* Oversee preparation and issuing of O&M manual

* Attend post hand over review meetings

You will:

* Ideally hold relevant Degree/NVQ in Construction Management – highly desirable but not essential

* Have relevant Contracts Management experience within a UK contractor of five years plus

* Experience of managing projects with values to £7m

* Be commercially and contractually aware

* Have excellent communication skills and polished client facing

* IT literate

* Full UK Drivers Licence

* Stable work history
