Salary: £42,000 – £48,000 per year
About Company
We are currently recruiting for a Contracts Manager ideally with Tiling experience to look after between 4-6 sites depending on each sites size, complexity, demands etc.
We work for all the big national house builders. The role of the Contracts Manager is liaising with Site Managers on each site, to establish the tiling needs to meet the site programmes, coordinating the tiles and materials required, calling them off for delivery to sites and arranging for our sub contract tilers to attend a tile.
Other roles and responsibilities include:
Keeping costs down to a minimum and managing waste.
Checking plots / areas prior to tiling to make sure all surfaces are acceptable and that plots are 100% ready to tile in advance of the work being carried.
Checking the quality of the tiling after completion to get the site to sign off the work as completed.
Checking all plots are clean and tidy on completion.
Overseeing customer care work in occupied houses.
Checking sub-contractors invoices.
Organising on site emergency remedial work.
Good communication and organisational skills
Salary & Benefits
Starting salary will depend on experience between £42,000 – £48,000(after successful 3 month probation)
22 days holiday per year, some must be saved for the Christmas break / shut down.
Company vehicle and fuel card for company use.
Statutory pension scheme.
Candidate Profile
Ideally the candidate will have experience as a Tiler or has run sites before or currently. We may be interested in a tiler that is interested in becoming a contracts manager, but will need to have had some experience in running or supervising a site.
We are also interested in a Contracts Manager that has had experience as a Contracts Manager for a different internal trade e.g. painting and decorating, plaster board / dry lining, carpentry etc. or an experienced site manager or assistant site manager who wants a change.
