Salary: £48,000 – £72,000 per year
Steelwork fabricator – based in South Yorkshire – due to continued expansion and increasing workload, they now require an additional Contract Manager.
Role / Duties:
* Produce programmes for the project, with working schedules for appropriate departments / teams.
* Manage site managers
* Allocate man hours to site tasks
* Assist in organizing plant for site / scheduling of same.
* Attend internal meetings, design, progress meetings etc.
* Attend relevant site meeting, with own team, third parties such as architects engineers.
* Client facing – dealing with client requests for progress, time-scales, and site attendance.
* Deal with variations to contract, reporting such back to the office QS / Estimators and liaise with client / contractors of effects and update project programs accordingly.
* Produce weekly progress reports.
* Liaise with all internal departments on project targets / dates.
* Role with be both office based and attending sites for above duties as necessary.
Candidate requirements:
* Experience in a similar role as a Contract Manager or Project Manager within a steelwork fabrication business or similar Engineering company.
* A minimum of 5 years’ experience working with structural and architectural steelwork projects.
* Thorough knowledge of the steelwork and construction industry.
* Experience working with main contractors.
* Ability to manage people and adapt to change.
* CSCS and SMSTS cards.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong Microsoft skills.
* Excellent time management.
* Ability to deal with multiple contracts.
* Full UK driving license.
