Brief Outline:
Fantastic and exciting opportunity for an experienced Construction Manager to join one of the UK’s leading building envelope specialists. With a number of large and technically complex projects running in Southern England, the Construction Manager would be responsible for managing all elements of a project. Project values would typically range between £500,000and £10 Million

About the Role:
* Key point of contact with client including attending client liaison meetings
* Build, manage and coordinate the project team
* Plan forthcoming resource requirements
* Ensure projects are completed on time and in accord with agreed programmes of work
* Safeguard the company’s position by ensuring relevant site events are recorded and reported in writing to the Main Contractor quickly and contractually
* Ensure incurred installation labor costs are in line with estimated costs
* Ensure attendance and preliminary costs are in line with estimated costs
* Ensure all works on site are undertaken in accordance with safe working practices and current Health and Safety legislation, be constantly vigilant to any actual or potential hazards, and encourage such vigilance among all site personnel
* Ensure the installations are carried out in accordance with the manufacturers recommendations and the contract drawings
* Formulate and implement site inspection practices to safeguard good quality installation and finished product
* Assist in the preparation of method statements, SOSSH, Risk Assessments and Quality plans
* Set an example of the company’s professional image at all levels of contact, and ensure similar conduct from sub-contractors and supervisors
About the Candidate:
* Motivated team leader At least 5 years’ experience within a contraction organisation
* Someone with initiative who will take ownership of their work and be able to represent the company’s interests in an appropriate way
* Excellent communication skills
* Knowledge of Microsoft office, in particular word, Excel and Outlook
* Experience of managing the contracts process from initial concept through development, tender and delivery stages to project completion
* Takes ownership for issues and problems and provides effective, practical solutions
* Build an effective relationship with main contractor, suppliers and project team
* Understands the factors effecting the different departments and projects
