Construction Manager

Opportunity: Construction Manager

We currently have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced construction manager, this position is based in central London.

The Construction Manager reports to the Project Manager and is responsible for managing, directing and implementing the site management teams through the Construction & Installation (Execution & Control) phase in accordance with the Contract requirements.

Responsibilities:

* The Construction Manager is responsible for ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality matters are managed on all project sites under his control.
* Ensure the management process relating to site labour & subcontract resources is followed in close liaison with the Works Manager to deliver the project to budget, to programme and to contract requirements.
* Assist Project Manager to plan for and allocate appropriate supervisory resources as required by the site management team.
* Supporting the Works Managers in the identification of plant, equipment and materials.
* Input to the evaluation process of sub-contractors, and advising the Project Manager and the Procurement Manager accordingly.
* Ensure all weekly and monthly reporting requirements are met by the site management teams and communicated to the relevant Managers.
* Provide immediate and early warnings to the Project Manager on problem issues and potential major over spends as soon as they occur.
* Close liaison with all other members of the Contract Team responsible for delivering the Project on time and within the budget and to the required standard as set out in the Contract.
