Construction Contract Manager

Salary: £33,000 – £39,600 per year

Direct Response Employment Services are delighted to be supporting a growing construction organisation who are seeking a construction contracts manager to join the team on a permanent basis based from the Wincanton office although their will be some travelling expected with the role.

As a contracts Manager you will ensure successful running of contracts and projects from start through to completion working within timescales and within budget.

Key Duties:

• Managing contracts and projects from start to completion.
• To Ensure and oversee all safety measures are in place and adhered to at all times and adhered to such as RAMS are signed, toolbox talks and accident reports are carried out.
• Plan and allocate labour in line with site requirements.
• Ordering of materials specific to projects and coordinating delivery to site.
• Preparation of paperwork for projects such as health and safety paperwork, risk assessments etc.
• Actively engage in regular discussions with site managers, build manager and quantity surveyors.

You will have worked within the construction industry previously with a minimum of 5 years experience and have an excellent knowledge of mechanical or similar trades and health and safety. You will need to be motivated and extremely organised with good time management and people skills.

You should have or wish to work towards SMSTS and ideally hold a current CSCS card and driving licence due to travelling to sites.

The role is working 40 hours per week although there may be earlier start times / later finishing times if travelling to site, competitive salary and company car after probation period.
