CMM Operator / Inspector

About the company:

* Our client are an engineering business based in Oxfordshire specialising in the design and manufacture of bespoke, advanced tubular fabrications and thermal management systems for high tech industries.

* Our clients offerings include high temperature pipework assemblies, thermal cladding and insulation, CAD design & 3D modelling, 3D laser scanning, stress analysis, CNC tube bending, six-axis laser cutting, hydroforming, precision TIG welding, tube rolling and non-destructive testing to name a few.

The role in a nutshell:

* We are currently looking for a CMM operator/inspector, who ideally has some experience of CMMs using PC-DMIS software.

What you will be doing:

* The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CMM using PC-DMIS.

* To apply for the role candidates need to be able to carrying out visual inspection on high spec parts and use a CMM to measure from drawings.

* You will offer clients rapid quality inspection of complex parts.

What we expect from you

* Be able to do dimensional CMM inspection, Romer Arm laser scanning, and visual inspection of certain parts.

* Main responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Measurement and analysis of Powertrain components.

* Measurement of product (prototype and series components) produced by the manufacturing process to understand capability and ensure variance is understood and controlled.

* Set up CMM equipment to support operational requirements.

* Analyse measurement data and create appropriate reports that enable informed decision making.

* Measurement and validation of supplier components to support business requirements as/when required.

* Application of all relevant Health and Safety procedures and requirements within the facility along with the ownership of all associated housekeeping and TPM

Education Required:

* Apprenticeship time served / min 5 years measurement experience
