* Monday to Friday – Day Shift/Back Shift/Night Shift

A large manufacturer with multiple international operations is on the lookout for a Quality Inspector to join their skilled engineering department.

The successful candidate will have a high-volume manufacturing background and hold responsibility for production-side quality inspection.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

* Running programs on a Typhoon CMM machine

* Use of CAD software and 3D scanning software

* Quality Inspection of parts at all different levels of the production process from press parts to finished goods. Checking for a range of different faults, i.e splits, burrs, dimensional errors to very high efficiency

* Liaising with company suppliers and customers

* Conducting investigations and audits on production cells and presses to fins the root cause of a concern or fault

* Filling in 8D paperwork and internal root cause analysis paperwork

* Non-conformance reporting

* Measuring parts in gauge, checking gaps, trims, hole positions and sizes against standards set by the customer

* Use of measuring equipment such as a Vernier, micrometer, taper gauge and rule and various other measuring equipment

* Knowledge of Microsoft Office software, such as excel, word, outlook etc

* Working to strict time restraints

Knowledge and Experience:

* Experience of working in a high-volume manufacturing environment

* Good computer literally

* Experience running CMM programmes
