Composite Quality Inspector

Mane are recruiting for an experienced Composite Quality Inspector to work on site for our client based in Cambridgeshire.
The main aspect of the role will be to take responsibility for the smooth running of the quality inspection department. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing and composites background and have a sound understanding of a broad range of quality aspects. They will also be well versed in working in a fast paced engineering environment.
Able to demonstrate measurement systems expertise both visual & dimensional, working from engineering drawings & CAD.

Use of verniers, micrometres, calipers, gauges & go/no go jigs. FARO knowledge (CMM/VMM nice to have but equipment not currently in place)

Carry out F.A.I.R’s (First Article Inspection Report) and secondary inspection operations. Develop and maintain system for recording inspection data.

Identify manufacturing defects raising and recording NCR’s (non-conformance reports) and Concession both internally and with external customers. Root cause, corrective action & preventative action control.

Responsible for Company & Customer drawing & data control.

Management of manufacturing and inspection calibration equipment

Metrics, KPI and reporting ability (nice to have but can be worked on with MD)

Experience working within a production ISO9001 quality system would an advantage

Proven solving capability, liaising with internal stakeholders and external customers

You will need to be confident and highly profession with good communication skills.

Knowledge of common computer application particularly Excel.
