Caretaker / Handyman

A successful company is recruiting for a Site Facilities Operative (on-site caretaker) to be based at Brighton University. The is will be 28 hours per week on a rota basis plus sleep in’s onsite also on a rota basis. You will be required to do night shifts on a rotational basis.

Salary is £26,000per annum for the 28 hours plus a consolidated sleep payment of approx £26,000 per year.

Key Responsibilities

Involved in maintaining all areas within Brighton Unviversity
Carrying out plumbing, carpentry and all types of repairs and inspections
Maintain the necessary relevant Trust records and systems
Acting as the ‘face and voice’ of the Trust with residents
Liaise with contractors as necessaryKnowledge & Skills Required

Trade or Locksmith experience would be an advantage
Ability to work on own initiative
Proactive in daily activities and aware of safe working practices
Must be IT literate
Experience of delivering high quality, efficient, resident focused maintenance services
