Hours: 30 hours + / flexible / Travel between sites and remote working.
Business Services Director – a key leadership role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Services Director, a pivotal role within the Practice, with overall responsibility for ensuring delivery of a first-class service to our clients through our business services team.
As the largest team in the firm and the powerhouse of the practice, business services operates across 3 locations, with over 40 employees and supports with accounts production, management accounts, business, corporate tax and personal tax work and provides a rich training experience for our large group of Associates.
The role will comprise two main elements:
- Managing the team and ensuring efficient delivery of quality servicesHow? By ensuring the right processes and systems are in place and consistently applied, we have robust business performance measures and management reporting in place and we have a high performing, skilled and motivated team.
- Managing and developing a client portfolio
Taking on a portfolio of existing clients and developing this over time.
The successful candidate will be ACA or ACCA qualified, with a proven track record in managing a team in a business services environment, developing a portfolio of clients and building strong relationships.
They will also be able to demonstrate the following key skills:
- Strong commercial acumen, with the ability to articulate value
- Strong leadership and experience of managing, developing and motivating teams
- Pragmatism, with the ability to cut through detail and make things happen
- Excellent organisational ability, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage, influence and challenge with confidence at senior level
- Empathy, and a natural curiosity and desire to explore new ways of doing things
- A highly collaborative approach
- Drive and results focussed – a doer as well as a thinker!
