Business Development Executive

Location: UK
A small but rapidly expanding technology company requires an experienced Business Development Executive to continue the company’s growth. The role will focus predominantly on extending the company’s market within North America.
Specialising in photonics products the company are a University spin-out and have been successfully trading for a number of years. They have developed an international reputation selling into both R&D and OEM customers.
The role will be working in a technology rich sales environment. It will focus on selling their products in North America, developing new distributors in territories where they are not currently represented along with developing opportunities for incorporation of their products into optical modules for OEM customers. There will also be responsibility for gathering market intelligence regarding customer demands and competitive position.
Candidates will be Degree qualified with strong experience gained within photonics, optical or semiconductor device sales. Your must be able to demonstrated a technical depth that will enable conversation with research customers. Experience of the US market is required.
The company are flexible on where the candidate is located. As long as they are prepared for periodic travel to their site on the south coast. Regular travel, predominantly to North America is expected, probably around once a month
