Building Manager

Summary:

Our client, a leading Landlord / Managing Agent, are seeking a customer focused Building Manager to take responsibility for all facilities management related services within a selection of key central London sites. Job Description:

As Building Manager, you will be responsible for the maintenance and general up-keep of a selection of key multi-tenanted sites within the London area.

Key duties and responsibilities will include:

• Be the first point of contact for all issues in relation to facilities/building management to include maintenance, soft services (cleaning, hospitality, reception, security) and health & safety
• Ensure that the systems, procedures, contracts and service specifications are in place and operate efficiently. Operate a planned preventative maintenance program.
• Manage, supervise and coordinate all works carried out by contractors on site such as planned and reactive maintenance issues
• Act as the link between the between the business and the end-user, remaining visible at all times and effectively being the face or the contract
• Ensure that all sites are run effectively, both operationally and financially

Skills and Experience:

• A strong track record of delivering facilities management related services within a managing agent / building management capacity
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage the expectations of a large number of tenants and customers
• Able to work to time schedules and budgets.
• Strong commercial acumen, and previous experience of working to service charge budgets

The Right Person:

The successful Building Manager candidate will be an excellent communicator and possess a pro-active and spirited approach to delivering a high level of service.

It is imperative that all interested candidates possess the ability to work reactively and at pace, and in a hands on style. Ideally candidates will come from a building services background, with specific skills in building maintenance including lifts and HVAC services.
