What will you be doing?
Responsibility for the provision of financial and management accounting for the Sheffield Integrated Waste Management Contract together with Business Partnering the Operational Management Team
- Core Accounting responsibilities include the production of Management Accounts, Forecasts, Budgets and Balance Sheet Reconciliations together with assisting with external Audit
- Business Partner responsibilities, include being the primary support to the contract to the Operations team in areas such as District Energy and Energy Recovery Facility
- At all times ensuring compliance with internal procedures and controls
What are we looking for?
- Financial systems experience
- Business partnering and interpersonal skills to work with the wider business
- Google Office applications and advanced Excel experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Flexible self-motivated approach to daily tasks, and ‘ad-hoc’ duties
- Ability to work alone as well as with various teams to strict deadlines
- A keen eye for the required detail to ensure accuracy of all financial transactions
- Working towards a recognised accountancy qualification (i.e. CIMA / ACCA / ACA / AAT) study support available
