Main Purpose:

The main purpose of the role is assisting the Commercial & Finance Manager in preparing, posting and understanding the financial data within the business. While ensuring rigorous financial controls are in place to deliver the expected performance of the company.

Your new position:

• Analysing contract performance of products on a weekly basis, via financial reporting and liaising with colleagues on the findings

• Understanding the basis and concept of WIP, calculating monthly values from financial reports and posting workings by journals

• Posting job costing adjusting journals

• Supervising data requirements, i.e. monitoring up to date goods receipting, proforma matching

• Posting of standard fixed monthly and adjusting journals such as depreciation and prepayment releases

• Processing of monthly sales invoicing postings

• Run and data analysis of financial reports i.e. Trial Balance, Aged Creditors, Job Costing etc.

• Reconciliations of data, such as aged creditors reports

• Compile workings for Cash / Sales forecasting

• Queries reviews and reporting as and when required by Finance and / or General Manager

• Annual involvement in assisting with the company Financial Audit

• Assisting with checking and maintaining procedures regarding purchasing, engaging and paying subcontractors,

• Reviewing and proactively using KPIs to benefit the business

• Holiday and sickness cover for Purchase Ledger, Sub Contractor payments and timesheet processing

• Complying with the GDPR regarding information exposed too
