Applications Engineers

An exciting opportunity to join a leading client in the back up power industry has emerged in the North Yorkshire area for 2 Applications Engineers. The successful candidates will be rewarded with a competitive salary and excellent growth prospects within a long established and successful company.

You will be expected to:

* Translate the client requirements and specifications into a costed technical proposal comprising generally of a commercial offer, technical specifications and data sheets.
* Support sales staff in the successful negotiation with the client acceptable pricing, commercial terms and conditions and technical contents within the business guidelines and at optimised project profitability.
* Undertake tendering activities including site surveys and other on site and off site client meetings.
* Communicate effectively to hand over successful project orders to the contracts, engineering and manufacturing teams.
* Provide technical support to the project/contracts manager throughout the delivery of the project to bring successful conclusion in accordance with the project requirements and to maximize the profitability.

The ideal candidate will need:

* HNC/D or degree in a suitable engineering discipline.
* Knowledge of/interest in the Power industry
* High level of IT literacy and experience with spread sheets and word processing.
* Technical understanding and commercial awareness gained within an engineering related discipline
