Salary: £36,000 – £42,000 per year
Do you have strong knowledge of CNC machinery? Are you looking for an opportunity within an office based environment covering the technical support side rather than “hands on” engineering? My client is a well established sub-contractor looking to expand their technical support team to cover the increasing demands of the customers.
The Company
A sub-contract service and installation company who specialise in CNC machinery installation, repair, service and overhaul including associated ancillary equipment.
The Role
As a technical support engineer you will be providing technical support for the engineering team and customers across the world.
You will be responsible for:
Liaising directly with customers for support and technical guidance on their machinery including complaints on the services provided.
Scheduling the workloads of service engineers to maximise efficiency and cost effectiveness – Allocation of service requirements based on urgency
Planning and Management of resources – Service engineers and materials/tools
Identifying weaknesses in the current structure of the service department
Monitoring the overall performance of the services provided
Identifying and implementing new training modules for customers to maximise chargeable training program opportunities to the end users.
The Candidate
A strong technical knowledge on various CNC machinery and ancillary equipment ( This is a mandatory requirement and any applicant without any specific CNC machinery knowledge will be rejected)
A strong grasp on both Mechanical and Electrical Engineering.
Some knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC s)
A strong communicator with the ability to provide technical support to both engineers and customers

The Package
£36,000 – £42,000per annum + bonuses & a competitive benefits package
