Applications Engineer

Salary: £48,000 – £60,000 per year

FINTEC recruit is seeking an Applications Engineer for our engineering manufacturing client based south of Edinburgh. This is a permanent position, salary negotiable by experience.

Responsibilities:

To support the development team from product definition to installation
Full system validation to ensure that new products meet target specifications/customer requirements
Customer point of contact within the development team
Provide in-house training to other departments
Create product installations/service instructions and customer user manuals.Skills and experience required for the Applications Engineer role:

A background in Electronics or Software, qualified to degree or relevant qualifications and experience
Minimum of 5 years experience within a similar role
Self motivated, work on own initiative
Able to overcome challenges in creating lasting credible relationships
Have a strong customer focus and desire to deliver a high quality serviceAn advantage to have the following skills (although not an essential):

Knowledge of digital and analogue circuits; Printed circuit board design; Microcontroller programming; Experience of C and C# programming languages and software version control; Windows.NET framework.
