Applications Engineer

Salary: £36,000 – £48,000 per year

If you would like to be considered for this role, you should have a proven track record in a similar role and the following skills and experience:
Requirements:
* Have experience in an engineering discipline with technical sales / field sales throughout EMEA
* Have a very good level of AUTOCAD knowledge and experience (essential)
* Have experience in estimating / understanding of costs and margins
* High levels of numeracy and language skills
* Strong customer service skills
* Strong computer skills MS Applications, AutoCAD, SAP, CRM systems
* Excellent communication skills additional languages would be beneficial
Responsibilities:
* Assess customer requirements in order to produce technical solutions
* Generation of customer proposals per requests from End-users, Sales Representatives and Regional Sales/Key Account Managers
* Work with internal technical groups as lead or support role in system solutions
* Entry of pre-sale quote activities into CRM/quote configuration systems
* Purchase order review, order processing for handover to Project Management
* SAP interrogation and entry as required
* Generate Sales layouts in 2D and 3D
* Field travel to support sales, customers and service, primarily within Europe and the Middle East
* Provide internal support to other departments within the office
* Attendance at Trade Shows
* Perform other duties as assigned by the manager
The Location:
The role will be based in Livingston and offers the opportunity to meet with clients throughout EMEA. Travel will be an essential aspect of the role and you must be able to undertake this. You must be a Driver to be considered for this role.
