Salary: £60,000 – £72,000 per year
Our client, based in Chelmsford, Essex, is currently recruiting for an Applications Services Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.
The Application Services Manager will be responsible for the technical production, application support and product development within a fast paced, busy IT development team. Most of the products are bespoke in-house developed applications for external clients. The ideal candidate will be from a technical background and understand software development.
The Application Services Manager is responsible for the delivery element of all products and services that are produced and maintained. You will be responsible for ensuring high quality software solutions are continually delivered to internal and external stakeholders and users.
Key Responsibilities for the Application Services Manager:
– Responsible for the delivery element of products and services that are created
– Ensure all teams under the Applications Services Managers control have road maps to work to, ensuring that delivery of technical production, change requests, and general software releasing is effectively planned across the Application Services team.
– Create and develop new business proposals
– Take overall responsibility for the Applications teams financial budget
– Ensure that all products and services are of a high standard and meet customer requirements
– Communicate with project stakeholders and customers, managing customer expectations
– Provide line management to assigned teams and team leaders
Key experience for the Application Services Manager:
– Software background and experience would be advantageous
– Project management skills
– Be able to demonstrate experience of successfully managing multiple teams
– Be able to demonstrate experience of delivering and servicing software products and services
