Application Engineer – Leading Global Engineering Component Manufacturer

Location: UK Flexible/WFH

Salary: £42,000 – £50,400 + car + bonus

Our client is part of a global business that are market leaders and have demonstrated unprecedented growth in recent years. To support their future plans, we are recruiting for an Application Engineer to support their current business and imminent growth strategy. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, well-organised and have a proven track record of success within the Lift & Escalator industry.

The role:

* To carry out site feasibility surveys and design surveys in relation to customers’ needs

* To manage individual project orders in accordance with internal ISO procedures.

* To provide designs compliant with relevant industry standards.

* To be conversant and competent with the current IT platforms including the CRM and ERP systems.

* To liaise with internal/external teams with all project related tasks including customer meetings and site surveys.

* To assist with purchasing and cost analysis of all project materials and fabrication.

* To utilise SolidWorks 3D Design to carry out specific design tasks

The person:

* Degree qualified, or equivalent, in a design/engineering discipline.

* Experience & knowledge of SolidWorks 3D/2D CAD software

* Self-motivated with excellent time management & organisational skills

* Ability to adapt to changes in the workload and prioritise accordingly.

* Exceptional communication skills, written & verbal, one to one and within a teams based environment

* Strong IT skills (MS Office)

* Career motivated with a desire to progress within an international company.

* Previous experience in the field is essential with a strong understanding of lift installation and modernisation.

* Willing to travel throughout the UK if and when required.
