Animal Health Marketing Manager

Salary: £26,000 – £35,100 per year

DESCRIPTION

A well-known Animal Health company in the ruminant market seeks a marketing manager for its business marketing activities through to its intermediate customer merchant base throughout United Kingdom. Reporting to the operations manager, this role will help in formulating and implementing the company’s marketing activities. This position is a challenging marketing position that requires interfacing with commercial sales management, product management as well as other functional areas within the organisation in order to service existing customers and build new business opportunities.

It is likely that candidates will be either agricultural science or veterinary science graduates with some practical knowledge of ruminant livestock farming. Consideration would be given to marketing graduates with either a farming or agricultural background. Candidates will need to have an outgoing personality to want to get involved in the company’s sales and promotion activity. Previous experience relating to either marketing, sales or customer service would be advantageous.

Excellent communication and organisational skills are essential for this role along with persuasive ability, excellent IT ability and numeracy

The Person will need to demonstrate

High degree of personal motivation, with a desire to make an immediate contribution.

Familiar with concepts, practices, and procedures within the Business-Business sales

Excellent track record with developing customer relationships.

Previous commercial customer experience

Organised, self-motivated, good communication skills, analytical, solution-oriented.

Ideally a degree in business, animal science or agriculture, or veterinary animal health allied to good practical experience with ruminant livestock
