Salary: £16.8 – £18 per hour

An amazing opportunity with a fantastic global pharmaceutical company is now available. Our client is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to join their team, the essential basic qualifications are:

Previous administrative experience
Excellent skills in MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Excellent verbal and written communication to interact well with all levels of management and staff
Professional telephone manner
Well-organised, systematic and able to handle multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment
Able to work independently, prioritise well and adhere to demanding deadlines
Strong team player with flexible approach
High level of confidentiality, integrity and discretion
Excellent attention to detail
Self motivated and proactive with ability to judge critical issues and determine action to be taken
Good technical / IT skills and willing to take on challenges of new technology e.g. internet, website development; information seekingPrevious experience in supporting a team/department and use of purchase orders and invoice systems would be an advantage.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities of Role

To provide a comprehensive, proactive admin support: managing, prioritising and delivering service against a fast paced environment
Schedule, arrange and monitor diary appointments for key departmental meetings.
Handle company purchasing system for departmental invoices including tracking and processing invoices to maintain accurate record and ensure prompt payment
Primary point of contact for organisation of overseas visitors (assist where necessary to set-up meetings, travel and accommodation etc)
Scheduling & set-up of complex meetings
Provide support for New starters and initiate relevant administrator tasks, and manage Induction / Leavers process
Responsible for maintaining filing and archiving
Responsible for maintaining departmental databases, / document management systems
Provide support for ad-hoc requests, including photocopying and scanning of materials, and arranging couriers
Manage sickness and holiday processes for team, to include updating electronic record system
