Accounts Assistant

Experienced Accounts Assistant to work for a Dynamic company based near Cheshunt in Hertfordshire.

Well established company based near to Cheshunt in Hertfordshire urgently require an experienced Accounts Assistant to work within a busy office. Reporting to the Finance manager your duties will involve BOTH Purchase and sales ledger work including credit control and cash management . This is a multi-site organisation and the role will involve talking to regional managers and assisting in the development and implementation of common Accounts payable and receivable procedures across the various locations that will allow ease of centralisation when required.Specific duties will include:
Credit control by phone and letter /email
Query resolution
General problem solving and dealing with difficult customers
Review of credit limits obtaining credit reports and setting up of new accounts
Daily bank reconciliations and cash allocation
High volume processing of supplier invoices
Matching ,batching ,coding and inputting of invoices
Obtaining authorisation and making payments
Reconciling supplier statements and allocating payments
Making payments using BACS/Bank transfer
The ideal candidate should have :
Excellent communication skills
At least 5 years Credit control and purchase ledger experience
Strong IT skills including word and excel
Experience of muti-currency in a trading environment
Versatility and flexibility to work as part of a busy team and embrace additional duties
when required
