Accounts Assistant

Salary: £31,200 per year

Kelburn Recruitment are proud to be working with a long established North East manufacturing business based in the Newcastle area. Due to business demand, they are currently looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join their existing team and in return, and attractive salary paying up to £31,200as well as a generous benefits package will be on offer to the successful Accounts Assistant candidate.

This is an exciting permanent opportunity to progress your career in a busy yet friendly environment. Working within a small team, the successful candidate will be ideally AAT qualified and responsible for a wide range of finance duties including purchase ledger, sales ledger and costings.

Duties as an Accounts Assistant will include:

* Processing of all purchase invoices for both UK and International suppliers

* Preparing weekly supplier payment runs

* Monthly supplier statement reconciliations

* Manage and resolve invoice and supplier queries

* Prepare accrual schedules

* Sales Ledger

* Responsible for prompt and accurate processing of sales receipts within AX

* Daily upkeep and reconciliation of Stirling, Dollar and Euro bank accounts

* Maintain petty cash book

* Liaising with suppliers

* Other duties as needed within the department

We are looking for an Accounts Assistant with the following:

* Previous experience in a similar role

* Ideally AAT Qualified

* Confident communicator, both written and verbal

* Accurate processor who can work to deadlines

* An experienced user of software, particularly MS Excel spreadsheets

* Self motivated person who can work well in a team environment

As an Accounts Assistant, you will be working a 40 hour week working Monday to Friday 08.00 to 17.00.
