Accountant

Salary: £34,800 – £38,400 per year

Redfox has been commissioned by a key fresh produce business based in the County of Cambridgeshire. As part of their positive growth plans, they are looking for an individual to join them as a Part Time Accountant and to partner their Head of Finance to take control of the finances of the business.

Key Elements of the role:

* Assisting with the management and production of the Management Accounts ongoing for the business

* Reviewing the systems and procedures and improving on them ongoing

* Management of the purchase ledgers to include overviewing the processing invoices and payment runs

* Supplier statement reconciliations

* Management of the sales ledger to include overviewing the raising invoices and sending invoices with the rest of your accounts team

* Credit Control ongoing

* Investigating purchase ledger and sales ledger queries

* Balance Sheet reconciliation, posting of Journals, compiling information for company VAT returns & uploading payment runs via on-line portals

* Producing Management Information Reports and distribution ongoing

* Day-to-day management of the Finance Assistant to include performance appraisal

What we want to see:

The successful candidate will be a qualified or part qualified ACCA/ CIMA/ ACA accountant and ideally with some fresh food/fresh produce or FMCG exposure. You will have great communication skills and excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills would be desired but are not essential.
