The Company:

Our client is a rapidly expanding IT solutions provider, with a focus on providing complete business solutions to the public and private sectors. Their cutting edge solutions encompass everything from centralised storage to virtualisation and consolidation, to networking, citrix and application delivery.

The role:

As an Account Manager initially the role will have a business development bias, although you will inherit a number of accounts on joining. You will be provided with leads and appointments from both the telemarketing team and the appropriate vendors. You will have the freedom to target any vertical market, and the backing of a team that regularly out performs the competition on quality, reliability and service. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding monthly sales revenue quota; facilitating regular account targeting meetings as well as specific account strategy calls in early stages of a sales cycle; and the timely resolution of all new business and account management related issues internally and externally.

The Candidate:

You will have an in-depth understanding of some, if not all, of the following technologies: server and desktop consolidation and virtualisation; storage (SAN and NAS) and backup; business continuity and disaster recovery; email archiving and compliance; application delivery. Knowledge of solutions from the following vendors would be an advantage: NetApp, Vmware, Dell, HP, IBM, EMC, Symantec, Cisco.

You will be proactive, with excellent business development and account management skills, strong customer facing and time management skills. You will be highly motivated and able to demonstrate a successful history in this highly competitive industry.
