ACCOUNT MANAGER – Trafford Park

SALARY: £21,600 ote £33,600c (uncapped)

Commission per month after inital training £360/£840 leading to £1,200 per month within first year – uncapped. Commission up to £2,000 per month can be earned.

As this is an expanding department there are great opportunities for promotion over the next 12 months.

Our Client is the largest independent distributor in their field who have expanded 10 fold over the last 10 years and are growing their sales department from 30 – 100 people over the next 12 months. Therefore there will be great opportunity to progress into management roles for the right people over this period.

JOB DESCRIPTION

You will be joining a very successful and dynamic team of account managers/sales people who are responsible for maintaining and developing new business as well as taking orders from an existing customer base.

As an Account Manager will be going through a database of existing, lapsed and prospective customers, calling customers with fleet vehicles and company cars, who already know and have used the company to sell in another product. With this product the more they spend the more you earn. Each week you will have access to the customers’ weekly spend so you’re able to manage your customers and negotiate rates to increase spend where applicable.

For this job you will need good rapport building and negotiating skills together with outbound business development as this is a competitive market.

The role will involve planning & prioritising sales activities to achieve agreed targets. Making high volume business to business calls; monitoring and reporting on market and competitor activities and providing relevant reports and information. You will also respond to, and follow up sales enquiries; take customer orders, deal with customer complaints and queries and update all customer records on the CRM system.

To be successful in this job you will have:-

  • Business to Business outbound sales experience or account management experience
  • Good organisational and planning skills
  • Strong negotiating skills.
  • Tenacious, motivated and professional
