Salary: £180 – £240 per hour

3rd Line IT Support Engineer

We are working with a fast-growing MSP who are seeking an enthusiastic and technically skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer.

We are looking for someone who with right skill set shares in our passion to do great work, is motivated to provide world-class customer service. The ideal candidate will have a detailed knowledge of business IT infrastructures and environments, be highly proficient in installing and reshaping IT landscapes, conducting detailed audits and guiding the customers to the best solution.

About the role:

Our client works with clients who use both macOS and Windows and will be working with a range of clients.

As well as help-desk support, we also offer project delivery and consultative services as we are called upon for our specialist skills in device deployment and management (Mac, Windows, iOS and Android), as well as security, identity, server and network infrastructure. The main bulk of your work will be project work in these areas, implementation/deployment, and high-end troubleshooting.

As such a willingness to travel and a full UK driving licence is required, along with access to your own vehicle in order to travel to and work from customer sites.

Requirements:

• 7 or more years customer-facing IT support experience.

• Highly skilled in various flavours of modern cloud infrastructure including Office 365, G Suite, IdPs, MDM, and cloud-managed networks.

• In depth knowledge of large-scale installations of both physical and virtual environments.

• Senior level experience with Windows Server 2012 R2 – 2019, Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.

• A good working knowledge of cyber security threats and prevention.

• Experience in architecting solutions during pre-sales, gap analysis and auditing.

• Proven good practice in quality documentation and sharing of knowledge.

• Excellent working knowledge of cloud technologies, such as AWS, Azure, with the ability to effectively problem solve and implement changes to infrastructure.

• Industry qualifications are desirable
