2nd Line Technical Engineer

We are looking for a 2nd Line Technical Engineer who specialise in the design, implementation, and support of a range of Cloud services and business applications including I.T. managed services, I.T. infrastructure support, hosted collaboration, and mobile communication solutions.

The purpose of the role is to install and support IT systems and infrastructure for our clients.

The ideal candidate must have a proven history supporting and maintaining on premise and cloud environments, experience working for an MSP and implementing and administering Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 suite, and VM Ware/ Citrix environments.

Overview:

•Provide technical support for a wide variety of current and new technologies for a range of SMB and Enterprise clients

•Provide technical guidance and resolve issues within SLA

•Assist with managing company internal IT systems

•Work closely with Sales Account Managers and clients to develop proposals that are technically ratified

•Assist with IT project implementations, from planning and design through to completion

Qualifications and experience:

•A passion for a wide range of enterprise grade infrastructure technology is essential (networking, server and endpoint, cloud, security).

•A minimum of three years’ experience in a similar IT role.

•Experience of working with and supporting a range of information technologies, the following preferred:

-Currently working for a MSP, providing IT support to multiple SMBs

– Microsoft technologies: 365, Azure, Windows, AD, Server OS

– Cyber security: firewalls, web filters, advanced protection and recovery

– Cloud technologies

– VMware / Hyper-V

– Back-up solutions: Veeam

-Experience supporting Apple MAC would be beneficial

•Desirable qualifications:

• Microsoft Certified –Azure, or 365
• VMware VCP
• Citrix
• Veeam

Must be willing to travel to customer sites within the UK.
