Owing to a recent promotion, I am working with a Telford manufacturing business to recruit for a permanent Management Accountant job vacancy. We are ideally looking for a first-year ACCA/CIMA studier, or someone who has completed AAT and is keen to undertake further professional qualifications. You will be an ambitious accountant, who is happy to adopt a hands-on approach to their workload.

Duties in this Management Accountant role will include:

• Production of management accounts
• Presentation of management information to senior management as required
• Periodic costing reviews
• Completion of internal and business unit monthly reporting
• Balance sheet control and reconciliation
• Coordination of financial month-end preparation and 8 hour closing process
• Coordination with shared services on GL, AR, AP, and credit control
• Profit and loss analysis
• Analysis and reporting on KPIs
• Completion of quarterly forecasts
• Maintaining/reporting of Capital Asset Registers and physical auditing
• Review of manufacturing variances and completion of investigative work
• Management of the capital request process
• Communication with HMRC to ensure timely completion of reporting and returns
• Involvement with annual financial planning
• Further tasks and projects as needed by the business
