Management Accountant

Salary: £18 – £28.8 per hour

FINTEC recruit is seeking a Management Accountant for our engineering client based in Thurso, Caithness. This is a permanent position, flexibility with hours and working arrangements part office/part home working potential. As a Management Accountant, you will be working within a small finance team covering a broad range of accountancy tasks. The company would also consider relocation assistance where this may be appropriate

Responsibilities:

Preparing monthly management accounts, including profit and loss accounts, balance sheet, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries
Preparation of annual budgets and preparation of monthly financial forecasts
Preparation of audit documentation, timely production of statutory and internal financial reports
Preparation and reconciliation of quarterly VAT returns
The Management Accountant will have supervision and development of the accounts assistant
The Management Accountant ensures spending is kept in line with the budget
Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts
Monitoring and evaluating financial information systems and suggesting improvements where needed
Preparation of reports for banks and other stakeholders
Management of company insurances and preparation of reports for banks and other stakeholders

Skills and Experience required for the Management Accountancy role:

Degree qualified in a relevant discipline or part qualified accountant
Hold CIMA/ACCA/ACA with a comprehensive understanding of double entry bookkeeping
Experience of P&Ls, balance sheets, trial balance’s
Good Microsoft Powerpoint skills and advance spreadsheet skills
Experience of using ERP or MRP systems within a manufacturing environment is beneficial
Good organisational skills, working to deadlines and communicating with people at all levels with the organisation.Flexibilities:
