Management Accountant

Salary: £34,800 – £36,000 per year

Anderson Knight is currently assisting a well-known manufacturing organisation based in the Glasgow area to recruit a Management Accountant. This position would be ideal for a hands on go getter who is willing to get behind the numbers and work closely with other areas of the business such as the operational department.

The main aspect of the role is to assist with the month/year end duties. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will work closely with the rest of the finance team in order to ensure the smooth running of the department. Our client would consider both qualified and QBE accountants.

The main responsibilities the Management Accountant position entails are:

* Preparation of the monthly management accounts

* Work closely and business partner with other departments within the business

* Assist with month end duties including budgeting and forecasting responsibilities

* Train new members of staff at the part qualified level

* Various ad-hoc duties

In order to be considered for the role you must possess the following:

* An accountancy qualification (CIMA/CA/ACCA) or QBE

* Strong communication skills

* The ability to solve complex problems

* An outgoing personality

* A driven/motivated individual

The position would be ideal for an accountant who has previously worked in a busy hands on environment where tight deadlines have been met.
