Salary: £21.6 – £25.2 per hour
A leading facilies management contractor are seeking to appoint a Mechanical Shift Engineer. The role works to continental shift patterns and is for a flagship corporate client.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Planned and reactive building maintenance whether specialised or general as directed and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk
* Installation works associated with building maintenance again whether general or in line with specialist bias.
* Completion of maintenance and reactive job sheets, as issued and scheduled by the Engineering Helpdesk.
* Weekly time sheet and service report sheet submission to the Engineering Helpdesk for all PPM and reactive works done during a given period.
* General building services works as necessary on any site designated by the Engineering Helpdesk.
* Completion and review of all log books, service report sheets as required per site.
* Reporting of any defects found during maintenance or service attendance.
* Health & safety compliance including appropriate use of Personnel Protective Equipment in carrying out your duties. Always wearing the company supplied uniform. Causal clothing of any type is not permitted.
* Liaison with the client representatives and customers as necessary.
* Operation of the Safe systems of work permit system to ensure safe practices, where applicable.
* Assisting your Line Manager with the supervision of sub-contractors carrying out maintenance, repairs and project works as designated.
* Assisting in the upkeep and housekeeping of the plant rooms in all buildings attended.
* Overtime working as required.
* Taking part in the ‘call out’ roster and attending emergency call outs as part of this roster.
* Attending tool box talks carried out by your Line Manager on a regular basis
* Assisting other members of the team as and when necessary in carrying out their duties
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
* To attend “site” for both maintenance and service works in a manner which represents the Company at a high level with regards to both appearance and attitude.
* To perform both maintenance and service duties / tasks to the highest possible standard.
* To report in a clear and concise manner all works undertaken whether maintenance or service.
* To undertake all works as designated in a safe manner with consideration to the Health & Safety Policy, any relevant legislation or code of practice and other persons within the near to or affected by the works.
* To advise the Line Manager of any un-safe situations or working practices by either employed personnel, sub contract or client.
QUALIFICATION ‐ ESSENTIAL
* Trade qualification, City & Guilds or recognised apprenticeship., NVQ 2 (6017) or equivalent
* F-Gas / HVACR 2079
* Proven track record showing experience within the building services industry as an Engineer / Technician
