A leading global membership association in the heart of central London is looking for an experienced Administrative Assistant to support their busy team! This role is a temporary 6 month role with the possibility of becoming permanent. Since the 90s they have brought together local independent accounting and legal firms to assist clients worldwide. Who will you be working for?
Located in the historical and noble area of Temple, this area is steeped in iconic British history. Scholars, blossoming lawyers and eclectic modern philosophers gather here during busy working days and sociable evening drinks. This is an area with excellent transport links, set in beautiful tree lined streets with companies and organisations housed within grand Victorian and Edwardian buildings; it’ll be a treat to work in such an affluent area!
Their clients range from large listed and public sector companies to owner-managed, entrepreneurial businesses. As member professionals, they are able to offer in-depth knowledge and experience in hundreds of practice and niche areas within accountancy.
What does the role consist of?
You will need to ensure a smooth running of all administrative aspects and secretariat duties. This will include managing the credit control process along with the invoicing of all member firm contributions, monthly debtors reports, screening calls and meeting & greeting clients. Your role will also include proof reading of all events materials and provide pre-event administrative support.
What will the successful candidate be like?
The ideal candidate should have good telephone manners, must be IT literate including the Microsoft Office suite and have a good eye for detail alongside prioritising work load. Someone who is organised has strong verbal and clear written communication skills. You will be supporting the events manager and need to be highly pro-active, energetic and an all round people person. Must have great attention to detail, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
