We are actively searching for an experienced assistant or intermediate quantity surveyor on behalf of a contractor based in the Witham area of Essex. Our client is a successful construction and fit out company. This role will include extensive procurement and management of sub contractors plus working closely with the estimating team to help produce accurate estimates.

ROLE:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with sub contractors
• Deal with Sub Contractor costs through to final accounts
• Produce and issue tender enquiries to subcontractors
• Produce and manage monthly costs, reports and analysis
• Attend prestart meetings and work closely with preconstruction and project delivery teams

CANDIDATE:

• Previous experience of procurement and tendering processes
• Previous experience of housekeeping/management of subcontractor packages
• Up to date knowledge of construction legislation, contract documentation and industries best practice
• Excellent negotiation skills
• An ability to build rapport

• Full UK Driving Licence (willingness to travel to variable site locations)
• CSCS Card

REMUNERATION:

• Salary range £48,000 – £60,000
